The UK’s membership of the European Union (EU) has resulted in
European Union law becoming an integral source of UK national law.
Knowledge and understanding of the law of the Union is therefore
indispensable to all lawyers in the United Kingdom in the same way in
which knowledge of legislation or common law is indispensible.
