This volume is based on presentations delivered at a conference held in October
20 1 3 at the Max P lanck Institute for Comparative and International Private
Law in Hamburg. The symposium was organised to foster scholarly
exchange between company law academics in Germany and the Nordic
States. We would like to thank all participants for their valuable and much
appreciated contributions. Furthermore, we would also like to thank Jakob
